Our Story

Ephapsys is a decade-long journey from idea to productization.



Origins (2015)

The idea of integrating ephaptic coupling into AI began in December 2015 as a privately-held side research project over the winter break.

Foundations & Early Experiments (2016 – 2024)

The first line of code was written in January 2016 in Java, within a foundation class file named Ephapse.java. This file was integrated into a cloned version of Neuroph, an open-source Java framework for developing artificial neural networks.

Evolution & Launch (2025)

It was not until January 2025 that the project transitioned to Python, bringing modern tools, rigorous experimentation, and a new phase of development that led to the first version of its inception paper in June 2025.
